Our story

In 1966, Kay Hatfield fulfilled a childhood dream of becoming a shopkeeper by opening her very own business, Kay Hatfield Lingerie. Through her strong customer focus, attention to detail, and commitment to sourcing high quality garments, Kay Hatfield Lingerie grew into a credible retail force in the local area, and remains so to this day.

These days the family take over front of house, but Kay – now in her 80s – continues to be a powerful background influence, with the same passion for her business that led her to start it over 55 years ago.

As the business grew, we decided to expand into an online shop, and Oohermatron was born – the same great products, available to order online straight to your doorstep.
